I'm running Hardy, upgraded via package manager, with all updates
applied, and my computer wasn't hibernating (or notifying) on critical
power. I unchecked the use time box in gconf, and it's working fine.
Just FYI - it was an issue on my Hardy install.

I would also note that my time indication never dropped below 10
minutes (I have a battery that lasts ~4.5 hours), which may explain the
lack of warning or action with the time settings.

As a relatively new Ubuntu user, I am befuddled as to why this is even an
issue. As has been stated time and time again, many (if not most) screensavers
are useless without config options.
I need to be able to configure how many cows, what my text says, what pictures
to show...it's stupid to
