The normal behavior of the scroll wheel on various volume widgets seems
to be scroll-up to increase volume, scroll-down to decrease it. There
are several widgets in the new gnome-volume-control (gnome-media
2.25.1-0ubuntu1 on Jaunty) which

Also when using a single screen, the applet will draw itself past the
edge of the screen if it is too close to the side on the panel.

Running the latest Intrepid packages (gdm=2.20.7-0ubuntu4, GDM always
displays the password prompt twice after I enter a username. The
