you can disable the vertical (or horizontal) scroll via System->Preferences->Mouse->Touchpad->Check off the "Enable scrolling" box. However it will turn off the touchpad scrolling feature in all applications, not just windows list. But as for me, I dont like to scroll with touchpad, it's too sensitive, so I have it off anyway.
