available in hardy-updates?
If it's still a problem, could you attach /etc/apt/sources.list ?
I think you had hardy-proposed enabled but you don't anymore, so that

What's the output of 'apt-cache policy libgtk2.0-0 libgtk2.0-dev' in
your system?
2.12.9-3ubuntu2 is from hardy and 2.12.9-3ubuntu3 from hardy-updates
Do you have hardy-updates enabled? If not, does enabling it make a difference?
(you can enable it at software-properties-gtk)

libgtk2.0-dev:
That sounds like a mirror issue. What mirror do you have, and does this
still happen if you switch to a different mirror and try to upgrade from
update-manager?
I have libgtk2.0-0 and -bin 2.12.9-3ubuntu3 installed in my Hardy
desktop.

Steve,
I discussed this issue already with seb128 on #ubuntu-devel and he said it
was ok to get this fix in SRU before it is done in intrepid.
We could also upload the same patch to intrepid first, then do the SRU.
Jonh, where's this fixed upstream? in 2.23.1, or will
Your debdiff seems to be text/html, so it's hard to read... could you

@Emilio,
It is launchpad that is causing the problem. This is weird. I have never seen
this problem before.
If you use wget to download then you will get debdiff in text/plain format.

Thank you for the reply. I would love to send an example for you to
test with, just tell me how. I am new to the wonderful world of Linux.
You could attach a video which has this issue to the bug report, or tell us of
some video in the net which has this.
Thanks

That's wrong, the bug was reported against Ubuntu, not against any
package. But why don't you just reassign to the appropriate package?
