This is weird, but gnome panel version 1:2.20.0.1-0ubuntu6 seems to cure the bug. I applied the update, close gnome and restart it. When new session was opened both panel are shown flawlessly. Maybe somebody who applied this patch and restart the computer can confirm what I am seeing ? --
