To answer to your questions.
1) I used sudo aptitude update and then sudo aptitude safe-upgrade.
Brasero and libbrasero were not upgraded.
2) I expected an upgrade.
3) I encountered a conflict with nautilus-cd-burner. I removed it, and
then installed using dpkg brasero and libbrasero.

Indeed. On intrepid and hardy, governor was set by default on on
demand which is more CPU friendly.
And it seems I'm not the only one which disagree perfomance setting to
be on by default (see comment #0 of this bug).

I saw a strange behavior of this applet. Every single time jaunty start,
it sets governor on performance profile, but I want a on demand
profile.
Could be like bug 326533.

I noticed I cannot get sound in Gnometris. But when i looked at gnome-
games-data, I noticed that there is no sound files.
I compared with filelist for gutsy gnome-games-data packages and sound
are missing !
Missing files :
I've used the workaround in comment #2 adding in gnome session compiz
--replace at the start. Anyway, it is strange that only one person or
two see the bug fixed. Maybe because compiz wasn't modified using
CompizConfig manager tool ?

[MASTER] broken initial stacking
This is weird, but gnome panel version 1:2.20.0.1-0ubuntu6 seems to cure
the bug.
I applied the update, close gnome and restart it. When new session was
opened both panel are shown flawlessly. Maybe somebody who applied this
patch and restart the computer can confirm what I am seeing ?

I try to enable the start splash screen and it kills the playing of
question.wav file on login screen (see comment #28 by afonic).
It is a very annoying and weird bug. I will try to see if adding
starting sound in accessibility tab can make it be played or not.
Anyway, shutdown sound is not
Khorne : you can enable it, but you won't get starting sound at all. Any
idea on how to get both starting and closing sound working on gutsy, 15
days before gutsy is released, please ?!

tribe5 up-to-date, testing AMD64 version. Will try later with a live cd
