I encounter the same bug. Moreover, the the window is overlapping the
task bar although my settings tell the task bar should be always on the
top layer.

Hello,
It seems that eog doesn't cache the next or previous image.
Going to the next image is slower with eog than with gqview although I
deactivated the lisser l'image lors du zoom option in eog
(translation: slick image while zooming).

1- new mail (CTRL+N)
2- i clic on To: for access to my adresses book
3- i select a contact and clic on add-; at this step, the contact
disappears from the list at the left hand side and I can't select it
another time
