Patrick, eclipse 3.5 works fine if you install eclipse from the ubuntu archives (sudo apt-get install eclipse). In that package /usr/bin/eclipse contains "export GDK_NATIVE_WINDOWS=true" so the buttons work -- Buttons in Eclipse not working correctly with GTK+ 2.18.1-1 https://bugs.launchpad.net/
