No but brother printers consistently show problems - if you do a bugzilla search you'll see quite a few hits and as far as I know we have no triagers that have a brother printer (I avoid them like the plague because it's obvious they have issues in Linux) -- You received this bug notification

[Bug 762918] Re: Natty Screensaver freezes system after some period of inactivity

2011-05-25 Thread Jmadero
I'll go ahead and try this as well. I just found out that it still happens without screensaver. I use a small script to use my computer as an alarm it uses the following: rtcwake pm-suspend xset dpms force off Not sure which one is causing it to still happen but I'll try disabling VBlank.

[Bug 762918] Re: Natty Screensaver freezes system after some period of inactivity

2011-05-18 Thread Jmadero
This definitely isn't video related as it happens to me all the time and I have no video running. It seems like it happens more when I have banshee going BUT this could just be because I have banshee going a lot of the day. I haven't had a freeze in 24 hours with screen saver and turn off monitor

[Bug 762918] Re: Natty Screensaver freezes system after some period of inactivity

2011-05-17 Thread Jmadero
I have noticed the same so far, turning turn display off to never so far has solved the problem but of course it's a waste of electricity and having a monitor on when I'm just listening to music doesn't make sense. Thanks all for the hard work -- You received this bug notification because you

[Bug 762918] Re: Natty Screensaver freezes system after some period of inactivity

2011-05-16 Thread Jmadero
MikeCz, I noticed the same thing, I've probably had to hard reboot at least 50 times since installing 11.04. I disabled the screensaver but am still seeing the issue, just had a freeze right now. This is a serious problem and can easily result in some broken hard drives. I'm tempted to downgrade

2010-11-07 Thread Jmadero
It's not freezing, the video actually is still playing. If you scroll down on the page after exiting full screen the video shows again...I think this is a different bug though, I've been putting off reporting it until other people confirmed it. i'm seeing the problem on three different machines

2010-11-07 Thread Jmadero
Are you sure the video actually freezes? Have you tried scrolling down the page, if you just go down a bit the video starts back up -- again this has been verified on three machines so I'm curious if yours is actually permenantly frozen or if it'll show it moving again after you scroll --
