I really don't understand why, but evince does not show the Staple option in
the printing dialog. It did in Jaunty. Other GTK2.0 applications do show the

The reply to the upstream bug-report suggested that it can be fixed by
backporting the new poppler libs.
I have compiled karmic's poppler for jaunty and it works fine at a first
glance.

alpha gradient fillings of boxes will not be displayed correctly in
evince. Printing works without any problem.

When adding a new event to the calendar I cannot specify a time zone for
the start and end times. In most cases it is fine to ignore the time
zones and use the local time zone of the place where you will be at that

I am experiencing a similar problem:
As soon as calendar tries to get appointments from the google calendars it will
quit. The calendar window is still visible but it will not show any
appointments (not even from the local calendar). If I close evolution and
restart it, I will be able to use

I have the same problem in the shell sometimes. Info is almost unusable in a
gnome-terminal because of the frequent skipping of screen updates. xterm works
fine.
I have not noticed this problem until some days before.
