I am getting the same error in Quantal with a Galaxy Nexus.
I suspect this has something to do with libmtp issues in bug

Alex, the .diff.gz file is the one you want, as the .gz extension
denotes, this file is gzipped and needs to be decompressed prior to
patching the original source.
You then need to apply the first patch Paolo submitted:

I am experiencing the same issue, baobab is missing a lot of data, even
when I run baobab as root (sudo baobab).
In this case, /media/disk is an NTFS partition on the same drive that
ubuntu is installed on (Dual Boot), but I can replicate this issue on
other partitions.
