This is related to bug #125739 (mpg123 and mpg321 won't play audio
preview in Nautilus (Gutsy)). Nautilus opens a FIFO when you hover over
an audio (.ogg / .mp3) file, but doesn't close it because esound isn't
installed on gutsy anymore.
To work around this bug you can either disable audio
I can confirm this as my brothers Creative Soundblaster Live! 5.1 also
has this problem. This is an ALSA problem as alsamixer doesn't mute
rear/center either.

When I choose SystemShutdown or click on the shutdown button on the
panel, and move the mouse to the position where the button in the dialog
is going to appear, before the dialog is displayed, the button isn't
clickable (and it isn't displayed in 'hover' state) until I move
