[Bug 885592] [NEW] No parent folder button

2011-11-03 Thread Stefan Löffler
Public bug reported: After update to oneiric, I don't see any easy way (read: toolbar button) to navigate to the parent folder. There is a menu entry, and there are keyboard shortcuts, but neither gives an easy way to quickly navigate up in the directory tree with the mouse (in particular if you

I'm using the location bar in location field mode (http://linux.about.com/library/gnome/blgnome6n12b.htm). Sorry for not clarifying this earlier - I tried to remember where that setting was, but it appears to be gone from the preferences dialog :(. FWIW, here is the corresponding part of gconf:

[Bug 877354] [NEW] Labels are not localized on desktop

2011-10-18 Thread Stefan Löffler
Public bug reported: I'm using the de_AT locale. In normal nautilus windows, the home folder is correctly localized to Persönlicher Ordner in the sidebar (as are others, like Desktop or file system). However, on the desktop, the folder is labeled home (with small h!), and the computer is labeled

Similar things happen on the desktop itself - the home folder is labeled home (small h!) even with German locale, and Computer is also not translated to Rechner (see attached screenshot). ** Attachment added: untranslated_labels_on_desktop.png

Public bug reported: The characters 'm' and 'p' are mapped to wrong glphys in the base-14 font Symbol. This problem has not occurred in maverick. I'm attaching a pdf-file that uses all base-14 fonts without embedding them, and screenshots from maverick and natty. Note the differences in the 5th

[Bug 789479] Re: Improper encoding of the Symbol font

2011-05-28 Thread Stefan Löffler
Yes, uninstalling ttf-symbol-replacement solves this issue. Note that I have wine1.3 installed. I added both wine1.2 and wine1.3 to this issue. Still, I wonder why poppler picks a font from wine over Symbol.pfb. Shouldn't system gs fonts take precedence over ports from Windows provided by wine?

2011-05-16 Thread Stefan Löffler
I still see the issue with Unit 3.8.12. It appears both ways: * Start gedit from launcher/dash/terminal and then double-click a text file in nautilus/archive manager gives a second instance. * double-click a text file in nautilus/archive manager and then starting gedit from dash/terminal
