I right-clicked on the one computer behind another icon in the top
right, and selected (i) Connection Information. A window appeared
titled Active Connection Information.

it does happen to me. it is so annoying when i play movie with Totem Movie
Player, but every 20 minutes i must move my mouse. if i not do that, the screen
will sleep.

When I playback an mp3 file using rhythmbox, i get this odd, semi
rhythmical thumping noise over the top of the music being played. In
case you ask, this is not the actual music, or indeed specific mp3
files. It seems that all mp3 files
at improving the
software (for example, by trying to understand the problem better) and
not directly at solving your specific problem. And your own comments
should serve that purpose as well.

Similar issue here. When I close a chat window, occasionally the window
goes blank white with the exception of the title bar. Pressing X to get
rid of the window crashes gaim. This seems to happen more frequently
when I switch from a custom away message to available status.

It turns out that it is happening still but we're still mystified. See

I'm not having this problem anymore. This problem disappeared a while
ago, though I don't think I did anything special.
