sorry but i'm on not using Hardy Heron. Alas awhile back I switched to
kubuntu of which i haven't seen the problem (as far as I know), also the
reaon i've not been posting is because i'm updated a few things or so on
my own that would dis-qualify me for reporting bugs, however I could
help others
well i guess it was, 2.10.8 is NOT in deb for yet and in at least the
hardy repos, however I just tried the feisty version and it works fine
with the attached picture I had, and well no probs so far and no
segfaults, etc..., and so forth..

i stopped all startup programs via session manager, undid some folders i
rooted in home, disabled firewall, changed themes, tried it in the
user root, user root is fine, :( and not that I can tell no nothing in
the /var/log/xorg.conf file i think.. u can close this bug then if it's
not happening
okay i did this:
created a new user via users and groups
set my own password - easy for the test user, of course
Desktop user named testuser
i set the checkbox to the ability to administor the system
logged out of my user, signed in as testuser - startx and tried it out -
same thing :/

i did the xprop | grep WM_CLASS and it identifed the run dialog as
gnome-panel if it is NOT the cause please put it into the right category
wills ya :)

monitor on one side with of course amor running, and so the memory
started at about 150-155mb - opened up totem it went to at about 160mb
and played a movie BW it went to about 163mb so I assume 163 - 165 or
2mb more would be

as they said right click and open with gimp doesn't work - it works fine

n/m read Fix committed means that the next time they (GTK) make a
release, the new code will be in their source packages. We'll package
them up and release them for Ubuntu. from another person who posted on a
