i stopped all startup programs via session manager, undid some folders i rooted in home, disabled firewall, changed themes, tried it in the user root, user root is fine, :( and not that I can tell no nothing in the /var/log/xorg.conf file i think.. u can close this bug then if it's not happening

okay i did this: created a new user via users and groups set my own password - easy for the test user, of course Desktop user named testuser i set the checkbox to the ability to administor the system logged out of my user, signed in as testuser - startx and tried it out - same thing :/ --
