Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: epiphany-browser
Epiphany browser in Jaunty beta does not support apturl (e.g. apt

(and apturl) gains more popularity between users, this can be serious
drawback.

Well, investigation on this bug led me to full installation of Interpid

well. Maybe it's only a virtual video adapter thing or something.
I think this bug can be closed now.

Alas, in Hardy beta it works only for first time.
When you try to close the lid again, nothing happens.
Must be something Ubuntu/Debian specific, in SLAX 6.0.3 works like
charm.

No, but it looks that the main fix for it was installation of
proprietary driver for nvidia card after all. Maybe the open nv driver
has problem with rendering more complex pages with gecko.
I'm not sure if this bug can be closed. Perhaps the Affects field
should be changed from epiphany-browser
Yes, with Firefox it was the same. OK with Opera.
I just tried to switch the graphic card driver back to nv and the problem
appears again. So it must be something with it. Bad luck for opensource driver.

News: Some friends of mine noticed the same issue — on Digg, last.fm,

rapidly increases X's CPU usage up to 100%, so whole system slows down.
It must be something with gecko and CSS rendering.

PS: OK, now I'm testing it again (for now from live CD), and it seem
that it depends on the time spent on the website (even in Firefox). It
changes from time to time - sometimes it renders and scrolls good,
sometimes it gets jerky again. Still best best seen on digg - try to
scroll with scrollbar

Hi, it seems that this bug is already fixed, or something else caused that
it stopped to appear. I'm currently using Ubuntu 6.06 LTS (Dapper Drake)
with all udates. A while ago I tried the daily build of the next Ubuntu
release (Feisty Fawn) and the Save/Save as dialog is working
flawlessly.Thanks
I saw today on wiki

that this rainbow icon for Graphics is still in the Dapper RC. It's
unbelievably persistent! :-)
Is there a chance that this bug (sorry, artwork-team, meaning no harm) will
