I have this issue on a current Hardy machine (32bit, supported upgrades only). But not in such a drastic manner. I think because i'm using only 1 panel. I flagged this bug as Confirmed, therefore. I don't know how to get a valgrind log, though, because when i kill gnome-panel it immediately gets

I suceeded to install dapper directly as server (not update path via breezy) and then upgrading to ubuntu-desktop via network install. I signed an e-mail and it worked. evolution even automagically selected the valid key from my keychain (i hadn't to select a key manually). So it seems to be the
