that file.

Does moving .themes from your user directory to somewhere else makes a
difference? Do you have anything to .xsession-errors when that happens?

This happens all the time!
I tried to do like you said but it ended up with a X crash. After that
my user account was totally broken so I had to remove .gconf directory.
I do not dare to open gnome-theme-manager anymore

I *think* this bug is related to the fact that I have copied my /home from an
earlier installation (Edgy).
There are themes without screenshot in the list. Is there any way to clean up
the themes list?
