Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gdm

On an up-to-date gutsy, ps shows two different processes related to gdm
right after boot. It can be reproduced easily:

-Reboot
-Log into gnome
-Fire a terminal and see the output of "ps aux | grep gdm".

I see the following:
$ ps aux | grep gdm
root 4925 0.0 0.3 13572 1772 ? Ss 11:12 0:00 /usr/sbin/gdm
root 4937 0.0 0.5 14012 3056 ? S 11:12 0:00 /usr/sbin/gdm
