Confirmed on a fully updated Kubuntu Hardy (recently upgraded from
Gutsy) with Firefox 3 running the Plastik KDE theme.
Installing the gtk2-engines package provided a number of Gtk+ themes.
Then, going into System Settings, under Look Feel choosing
Appearance, then entering the GTK Styles and

Still the same problems here:
* Focussed checkboxes and radio buttons don't show correctly
* List selection doesn't show
shepherdguy's workaround (2008-08-08) does work but reduces the visual
experience a lot.
I am using Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; de; rv:1.9.0.3)
Gecko/2008092510
I still have the grey check box problem. This is on a Kubuntu 8.04.1 and
Firefox 3.02 (just updated). Its seems this bug is Ubuntu related only.
Why does the status say fix released?

I think this is more related to the KDE Desktop rendering engine more
than FF itself. I've seen other KDE windows show up showing similar
results of `boxed out radio boxes`. Once I remember where this screen
is, I'll post a screen shot.

Focused checkboxes and radio buttons rendered as grey
Due to another bug with FF and flash movies, I launched FireFox from a
command line and keep getting these errors:
(firefox:9529): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_unref: assertion
`G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed
Unsure if this has anything to do with it.

Confirming on Kubuntu 8.04.1.
No problem with Firefox 2.x, the bug presented itself after upgrading to
firefox 3.
Selecting a theme other than QT for GTK apps is a workaround, but
degrades the visual experience.

Focused checkboxes and radio buttons rendered as grey rectangle
Confirmed on latest Kubuntu 8.04.1. Why does this work in Debian but not
Ubuntu? It's very annoying in GMail and the workaround is unattractive.

I have experienced the same problem after upgrade to Kubuntu hardy.
Firefox 3.0 is still the same. You have to click on a radio button, then
click elsewhere to see the selection. I have all standard default themes
etc. Why is the bug listed as invalid?
--
Focused checkboxes and radio buttons
It is listed as invalid in all packages but one because the bug is
actually only in gtk-qt-engine and needs to be fixed there. As you can
see it is confirmed for that package.
