Sorry for re-opening it, but also apport is enabled, there was no crash report created. So I do not have more information. I can manually gather required information, if yu just tell me, what you need. ls -la /var/crash/ insgesamt 40 drwxrwxrwt 2 root root 4096 2008-06-24 10:07 .

you should really try to get apport working, the crashes sent using it are registered in the database to list duplicates and automatically retraced, you can try to obtain a backtrace http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash and attach the file to the bug report if you really want though **
