Thanks, I have downloaded and installed intrepid beta on a virtual
machine and it is fixed there. Seems the bug is present before Intrepid.

I'm using the arrows keys depicted in the image I uploaded; keycodes 98, 100,
102, 104 as xev(1) says.
I verified this in 3 machines using ubuntu 8.04.1 . Did you save the
file and view it using EOG? Thanks!
