Hm... I was about to forward this upstream when I thought that having
Shift do that thing is IMHO not very reasonable. What you're doing is
essentially using the shift key as the caps lock key. Shift is temporary
in nature. If you just don't want caps anymore, why not hit the caps
instead of the

Just for your info, I use shift to cancel CapLock on W2k an WXP. If it
does not work on Linux, I'll adapt myself, I'm very adaptive!!!

Out of curiosity, on which versions of Windows did this occur? I used
windows 95 and 98 and this is the first time I hear of such behaviour.
I disagree on the first part. It's quite obvious to me that shift
cancels caps lock temporarily because of the temporary nature of shift
(hitting shift once
...me too.
Are you sure you do not missunderstand this line.
Shift only cancels Capslock for the time you hold it down...
