Thanks for your bug report jamy015! Is your laptop fully charged? The
applet by default disappears when it is fully charged, so try unplugging
it for a minute and seeing if it appears. If it doesn't it sounds like a
bug, let us know.

Oh yeah thanks. I unplugged it and it indeed showed the battery
indicator.

No problem jamy. If you want it to always show up, you can change that
in the preferences of the applet by right-clicking on it.
