I'm getting a similar problem, only I can reproduce mine every single
time in four steps: open Brasero, click the button to open an audio
project, navigate to my MP3 folder, double click on a song = screen goes
dark and brasero stops responding. I have to then force quit.

Ok, so here is some more info - I installed the brasero debug symbols
according to :

Open a terminal (Applications Accessories Terminal)
Type:
brasero -g ~/brasero.log
Hit Enter.
Then brasero should open up, reproduce your bug. And then close

instructions they were very helpful. so i did protect the innocent a
little on the music names but this gist is the same. i also read
through the report and... well lets hope someone with closer eye knows
what their looking at.
