I agree with David: there is a bug, we have seen it both. We only need
to find a way to reproduce it.
Well, I think changing the indexing preferences (like adding a path or
changing the language of the stemmer) will trigger the building
operation. Unfortunately, I don't have time for this right
Unless the software changed between our bug reports, maybe better to
keep the report open and find out when this bug happens? E.g. is there
a way to force a rebuild of the Tracker database as per Vianney's
suggestion?

I don't get this bug anymore today.
Could it be that it only happens when tracker is performing its initial
indexing? (Not sure at all, just an idea)
