Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-terminal

Using Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex.

When setting the compositing manager of Metacity (through Gconf :
apps/metacity/general/compositing_manager), the border of the Gnome
terminal window has transparent parts. It happens only with some
Metacity themes and seems to happen only with the terminal window (with
other windows, the parts are opaque).

Also, the Gnome composition options that make the title windows semi-
transparent are disabled (they're supposed to be opaque).

You can see an example with a few selected themes there :
http://img237.imageshack.us/my.php?image=transparentcv0.jpg (don't pay
attention to the broken icons at the bottom, the picture is a montage.)

** Affects: gnome-terminal (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
