thanks for the report, this looks like bug 228794 which was fixed on
hardy already. There's also a similar report open upstream about
evolution not remembering passwords here:

bug 228794 relates to sending GPG signed mail which I am not doing...

that one is only able to save the password for the session - I get no
such prompt or indication...
