I have the exact same symptom.

I didn't know how to apply the update, so I added the proposed
repositories, and did update. The evolution-exchange problem has
disappeared. The fix is in the proposed updates.

That update to libsoap worked great, stopped the crash completely.
Instead a warning popped up telling me I'd entered the wrong URL. It
wasn't the wrong URL though I just needed to update my network proxy
exemptions then it connected perfectly. Maybe it wouldn't have crashed
if I'd done that in
