I also have a 25 seconds delay when I'm running file-roller manually
through command line :
$ file-roller --add ./PDF/
there is no disk load during the operation, and the PDF directory is
empty... I don't know what is causing the delay in file-roller because
it doesn't display any message.

That works fine for me here. Could you please try this from a new user
account or the guest user account?

file-roller waits 25 seconds before
Ok it works great with the guest account, but is there a way to fix?
it's strange because there is no cpu/memoty/network charge during this
delay. what happens during these 25 seconds?
