Binary package hint: gnome-media

Expected behaviour:
As the sound effects volume slider is set to zero no sound effects should be 
heard.

Actual:
Sound effects are heard at full volume

Steps to reproduce:
Install a fresh system / boot from live CD. Open firefox & open two or more 
tabs try to close firefox. If sound is working you will hear the login read 
drum noise. See gbome-volume-manager-applet to confirm volume is 0%.

Once this volume is changed or muted the true value is reflected in the
app.
