Nautilus works as a different user, `sudo nautilus` launches it
correctly. So is it a configuration problem? Where is nautilus's
configuration files?

Binary package hint: nautilus
My computer froze, after resetting it, Nautilus now won't start. It says
Segmentation fault and just quits. I did nothing special to nautilus
or tempered with anything. I tried removing all my Nautilus extensions
and even changing

I just noticed that it says
(nautilus:2620): Eel-CRITICAL **: eel_preferences_get_boolean: assertion
`preferences_is_initialized ()' failed
before it starts loading extensions.
