This issue is also presented in Ubuntu Lucid Lynx 10.04 alpha 3. Nautilus
version 1:2.29.91-0ubuntu2.
This problem can be really embarrassing for people without relevant technical
skills!
I think investigating a condition before copying would be essential.

Ben, I haven't marked this as a duplicate because launchpad doesn't
allow me to search right now (broken), I've added the tag likely-dup
which means it could be a duplicate. There was a similar report filed a
few weeks ago regarding nautilus and copying of big files on fat, but as
said can't find

Can you please tell me which bug this is a duplicate of? I searched
using all the keywords I could think of, and while I could find some
related issues regarding handling of large files on vfat filesystems,
none matched this problem exactly.
