I am running the new release candidate of Ubuntu 8.04 and Rhythmbox does
the same as above - after an hour or two it freezes - I am able to kill
the app, simply by right-clicking on the taskbar and choosing close, and
then saying to the pop-up window asking if I want to stop the app which

I am now using Feisty (Ubuntu 7.04) and will be unable to reproduce this
exact bug since the version of Rhythmbox has changed. Hence, it is
better to close this bug report and I'll open another if it happens
again.

Edgy, rhythmbox freeze when playing
Marking unconfirmed, the log doesn't look really useful. Maybe somebody
wants to forward the code upstream, we have too many bugs for the number
of people working on them at the moment and upstream knows the code
better

Here is the valgrind file. I started with the line above before going to
bed and in the morning, rhythmbox was not running anymore. So I don't
know if this is what you need. Let me know if you need something else.

I don't really know Valgrind, but using this command :
valgrind -v --tool=memcheck --leak-check=full --num-callers=12 --log-
file=valgrind.log rhythmbox
The memcheck process use 100% of cpu and a LOT of memory. Playing songs
does not work properly. They stop, play, stop play, etc. Is there
Thank you for your bug. That looks like a memory corruption, could you
try to get a valgrind log (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Valgrind) for it?
