There is a workaround for this problem. Create a new file in /etc/X11/Xsession.d and name it as you want, say /etc/X11/Xsession.d/99baroslized, and write unset UBUNTU_MENUPROXY to it. Unfortunately, ~/.profile is not acceptable because the variable is set after ~/.profile is called. In addition
