Yes I can confirm this in both Dapper and Edgy. Whenever the network
connection between the two hosts is terminated, nautilus on the client
(the one downloading) hits 100% CPU and remains there. It's quite a
serious bug because the only way to bring back down the cpu is to do a
'killall

Added an attachment of hubackup's device detector code. Just save it in
a folder, chmod 755 the file and execute it. If you have a CDRW or DVRW
or a USB disk attached to the system you should see a listing showing
them as entries.

CDs and DVDs that are fresh and have never been written to? If so, then it
would proper for mount to return an error, because there is no filesystem on
these disks. The drive applet will not help you there.

probably mount them from fstab or the command line, that's not the way
nautilus is designed at the moment. You can use gnomevfs-ls, gnomevfs-

I own a Terratec EWX2496 soundcard which uses the ice1712 ALSA driver. There
used to be DAC and DAC2 volume sliders (stereo output) as well as two sliders
for ADC and ADC2 (stereo input).
However, since I think the Dapper release, following slider appear:
ADC, ADC 3, 2x
I'll ask an UVF exception for the new version, but for edgy, dapper has
gaim 1.5

Subject says it all really. If you look at this image with the gnome
image viewer or nautilus and I try to print it, it comes out as a full
page of black (with a nice white border around the outside).
Using the gimp or one of the KDE image viewer programs and it works just

gnome-volume-control listens to what ALSA tells it can be twiddled.
Obviously, the ALSA driver has gotten more variables which you can
set. If you find them unsightly, you can remove them using the
Edit Properties menu.

Importance:
This is known upstream with Gaim. Have no idea with regards to Wine and
the wine-systemtray.
At the moment, Metacity deals with this as best as it can, but is
limited by the way that the individual applications demand attention.

Edgy: at-spi Crashes frequently
Well, my previous MP3 player was detected as a Media Player and the icon
would change to a Media Player icon, instead of a Mass Storage icon.
This is quite useful, if I have both my MP3 Player and another mass
storage device attached, it helps me immediately distinguish them from
each other.
