between gnome-keybinding-properties and desktop switcher.

I recorded the desktop. I hope it will explain my problem much better than i

So in this video, first i type ubuntu compiz in the text area, i

Is there some current workaround for this regression? I have a friend
that I installed Ubuntu on his computer and he uses my nfs server. It's
easy for him to right click and mount the drive from nautilus (he's
using 7.10). But if he upgrades to 8.4, he would have to use the cli to
mount the drive.

UPDATE: I have enabled metacity and the video works fine, thus
suggesting a fault with Compiz? This was with NO desktop effects, when I
re enabled desktop effect from the 'AppearanceVisual EffectsExtra
effects, i get the same symptoms. Does this use Compiz as the engine???
