The thing is, serpentine is not responsible for shell escaping the
filenames it sends to nautiluscdburner. Thus, I am not envisioning how
this bug could possibly be related to serpentine.

The problem here was that CUPS checked whether the lp module was
loaded, and if not, it loaded both lp and ppdev. With lp already
loaded at CUPS startup (the usual case), CUPS did not load any module,
so ppdev was not loaded again.

doesn't specify its encoding correctly or something like that.

I didn't notice that it uses readcd externally. It gives the same error
(I changed cd but not the name of the ISO, that's why number of sectors
differs). I even prevu-ed wodim, and tried readom, but it's the same,
both logs follow. dd seems to give no error but it is hanging at end,

The themes from GNOME seem to use the alias Sans (I check with gdm-2.17.6) .
Its just the edgy/feisty gdm theme that doesn't use the alias but uses
Bitstream Vera Sans Bold instead.
Replaces Bitstream Vera Sans with Sans.

I had a chat with Athanasios and we concluded that the GDM themes do
come from Ubuntu (and not from upstream GDM), from the packages
mentioned in this report.
The clean solution is for the themes to reference the Sans/Serif/etc
font aliases instead of individual fonts.

Here is the valgrind file. I started with the line above before going to
bed and in the morning, rhythmbox was not running anymore. So I don't
know if this is what you need. Let me know if you need something else.

I agree with this as well. Using Bitstream is probably a left-over from
designing the theme, not intentional. It would be much better to use
Sans (which in this case defaults to DejaVu) in the XML.

Well then I think it's better to leave this bug opened untill we have certain
confirmation it's fixed.

I don't use, and never have used iTunes (it's a nasty piece of
software). I suspect the iTunes users on my network are using the latest
version, 7.0. I have just been reading up on Rhythmbox and have seen
that it can't handle DAAP shares from iTunes 7.0, but Tangerine
fixed upstream
