The evolution-common package in ubuntu weights 93.4 MiB. After
openoffice.org-core, this is the heaviest package installed in ubuntu by
default. I personally like
this would also save bandwidth whenever you folks apply updates/patches
to the evolution-common package, if the documentation is part of the
separate language support packages.

who WILL stay on 8.04 until the next LTS release. 8.04 mostly works,
or, at least, its bugs are known to me. That is the distro/version that

so far, the only solution I have found to hack around the issue to a
limited extent (without messing my bookmarks) is creating launchers on
the desktop or panel. Screenshot attached.

I screencasted the problem (over a VNC session, so please bear with the
ugliness :), and as you can see, a file that should have taken 30-40
seconds (if it kept transferring at its initial speed) took 2 mins 42.

note that the *original* report is not entirely accurate anymore. The
speed is not in kb/s now, but it is around 4mb/s while it began at 7-9.
So, the speed is not as excruciatingly slow as before, but a noticeable
drop in performance can be seen nonetheless.

hardy, it seems this no longer works. The notification is a plugin
shipped with evolution 2.22.1.

cpu usage is *insanely* high whenever I type something in the

I am seeing 100% cpu usage as well, but it does not lag *as much* as
described in bug #41798. And my computer is basically the same as that
guy's (2.4ghz cpu, nvidia graphics card).
I mean, I see it is not 110%, perfectly fluid, but in the GIMP the
stroke does follow my cursor pretty closely.

I remote-controlled Amar's computer and did the requested testing. My
benchmark was transferring two 350 mb avi files onto a 1 gib USB 2.0 key
(this key is not the only one affected).
I did the testing using plain nautilus drag and drop, cp, and gvfs-copy.

it works (if you clear the gconf settings for RB) on a test account I
have, but there are only 17 stations... maybe we could add more by
looping into http://dir.xiph.org/by_format/Ogg_Vorbis (but I don't
really have good enough knowledge of scripting) and wgetting the
results? I think that if
I tried writing a script that grabs as much radio stations as possible
from that website, then spits out a rhythmbox iradio-initial.pls in the
current working directory. Maybe it can help, so I will attach it here.

But I'm indeed writing this from a properly working epiphany-gecko 2.21.90
installed on a fresh Hardy beta 5 + updates.
The way I did install epiphany was the same as I did in previous ubuntu
releases: install the epiphany-extensions package and let

invalidate this bug. This doesn't happen with other mimetypes such as
.xls, and is downright confusing.
