Thanks for your comment Pedro, but I do put the focus on the search
field. I type some other keyword and when I press the specebar, the
video restart and no blank space is added to the search field.
Note that it works fine when I try to search multiple words BEFORE I
watch any video.

It appears that this problems only occurs when the French Alternative
keyboard layout is used. That explains why
Adding this bug to the totem package, so that it appears in bug searches
for totem.

When using the youtube plugin, it is impossible to search a new video
with a blank space in the search string : each space bar press act as a
play/pause and don't insert a blank space in the search field.

Alright, I don't understand anything !
I reproduced this bug on 4 different systems : 3 ubuntu 8.10 and one
9.04, but I can't find anyone (here or on irc) who can reproduce this
bug.
What can be wrong ?
