Is this really a bug or more just the choice of the AbiWord developers?
OpenOffice and KOffice have committed to the OpenDocument file format,
but so far the Abiword team seems to be sticking with RTF as their
default. Hard to tell since their website is rarely updated, and I

Stupid question, but is the only reason for having Abiword and Abiword-

Gnome-related files? This has always confused me, partly because I
thought Abiword used gtk.

I installed a gdm theme from www.gnome-look.org. I selected that gdm

I am using Ubuntu Feisty 64bit. I don't know if the bug shows up a
second time, but here are the steps I did after I had done a fresh
install:
1. Download a gdm theme from gnome-look.org
2. Open Login Window under System - Administration
3. Click Local tab
4. Click Add
5. select downloaded file
I added another gdm theme and it seems to still be working well, so it's
apparently an issue w/ a fresh install that doesn't crop up again after
manually setting it back to Selected Only

If Bruce's fix works, then great. If not, both upstream and Fedora have
fixes released, is there no way to see what they did? (Please keep in
mind that while I'm not new to programming I am new to open-source work

An easy way to setup sharing is to install the system-config-samba

I've also had this issue in Hardy, and it's always with a fresh install;
once I've reset it to Selected Only, the problem never re-appears. I
will look for a bug in Gnome's database.
