Thanks, but this is not a Firefox bug. Firefox has nothing to do with
drawing of menus or handling of events in menus when they are on the
screen. That is all handled by the shell, all Firefox does is export its
menu over the session bus.

It's not only eating most of the CPU, but also tons of memory - this morning I

On Ubuntu 12.04, I was having same issue. By changing group and owner of
`.gnupg/*` resolved this issue for me:
vishal@vishal:~$ ls -la | grep .gnupg
drwx-- 2 root root 4096 Apr 23 18:12 .gnupg
vishal@vishal:~$ sudo chown -R vishal .gnupg
vishal@vishal:~$ sudo chgrp -R vishal .gnupg

Yeah we had this recently actually but it turns out for various reasons that
the accessed time is completely bogus and doesn't get updated. We removed the

i can't (obviously) comment for other people, but I may have discovered the
cause of my problems.
It turns out that many of my problems recently were probably caused by a ram
stick gone bad. So, I checked my ram only a couple of months ago (to rule it
out as the cause for another problem).
And I accidentally submitted the comment without finishing it.
Anyway, so with Ubuntu playing up generally, I checked my ram again,
found that the 2GB stick (two sticks, one 2GB and one 512MB) was bad. I
removed it, and the other problems stopped. I just thought today that
Firefox had also

Sam, in the same way if the system is suspended in Guest session it

Please revisit this bug. I use Ctrl-Alt-W/S/A/D to switch between
workspaces, and this bugs prevent me from setting up fast workspace
switching.
Even a dirty workaround is appreciated. Thanks.
