partition when trying to extend a raid 1 with another 333MiB sized
parttion (gui shows 349 MB). Nevertheless, it worked with a 18.62GiB

I think we need to talk more about how to deal with the transition. In
any case 80im-switch needs to be removed or disabled, and after having
thought about it, I can't see how it could be safely done in im-switch.

After a fresh install of Kubuntu 12.10, my resolv.conf remains
stubbornly empty. I have tried manually setting the DNS server via the
network manager UI (which doesn't work); I tried turning off dnsmasq in
the network manager configuration (which didn't work); I tried dpkg-
I think this is due to some paths missing in the fglrx package for amd64
architectures.
A workaround is using the fglrx-* packages from my PPA:

Putting the computer on Suspend
You have to run:
sudo amdconfig --initial -f
after you install the fglrx-* packages.
If it still doesn't work you might need to additionally run this:
sudo amdconfig --px-dgpu

tested at first with sleep 30, then decreased progressively until reached 1,
as palimmo did.
Probably the matter is that nm-applet starts up just a bit too early to

I get the Success message and nothing else, I tried installing the
proposed but I get this:
