I can be very specific. This has been a problem for me for a bit over a
year now. I am currently running SUSE Leap 42.1 w/ FF 48.0.1. I had been
running 13.2. I have been running a 4 core 3.? GHz CPU (AMD) for the
whole time, having added a primary SSD for swap (14GB). I also have 8GB

I didn't want to switch back to Xorg, so I found a clunky workaround:
* Select File -> Send Later (ctl-shift-enter): message is saved to Outbox.
* Select File -> Send Unsent Messages.
This method does not generate a ghost window. But wow, it's annoying.

I am able to fix this, temporarily, by going into pavucontrol, unmuting
the microphone under Input Devices, and muting it again. I will have to
check later what the exact name of the microphone device in question is.
Note this applies even to headphones that do not have a built-in

drawn on top. This happens for all instances of that particular card in
