It seems that this was a GSettings key that got unset, probably as
plugins were being changed through the release. I was able to fix this
by reenabling the media keys plugin like this:

resuming from S3 wrongly

On our Jenkins builds we're getting a failure to install the cups
package. This seems to be because the apparmor profile looks for
suspend capability but the virtualized builders do not have it. Here
seems to be the relevant log:

using an older version of compiz that doesn't have GSettings? We're
setting the GSettings key to hide the launcher.

Basically if you require a network, and you don't report yourself as
cacheable, then GeoclueMaster isn't watching the connection status so
you'll never get to a connected state in a reasonable way. This makes
sources that want to check and update over time using the network

Title:
FFe request: Provide remote
The components are in distro today. There needs to be a unity-greeter
release with the components in them, but the unity-greeter team would
like to know this FFe is going to be accepted before doing that release.
