I have the same issue with an HP Deskjet 720C. For things like office
documents, I resorted to add an extra page at the end with some dummy
text, so that up to the penultimate page, the printing will go fine.

Weird: printing seems to work fine (page is printed fully, paper goes
out) when printing from Cinnamon instead of Xfce desktop. Could it be
some conflict between these two environments..? Cinnamon is O.K., Xfce
has problems.

There is a complete error_log file in the last three hundred rows - since I
printed something after 18:00.
But if it will help...
The main problem is that a functioning printer suddenly stopped working.

...and regarding the Capturing print job data section: the file and
the printout (the pdf file sent to printer) are both O.K. - but the real
printout is not.
