When I tried to execute your command chromium was using 100% CPU and was unresponsive. It seems that Chromium consumes a lot of CPU too. But even with no Application running other than Gnome-Terminal Xorg takes up to 10% CPU when I move my mouse. Now while I'm writing this chromium is running

Hi. Is it only the xorg process using high CPU? Usually you would see a couple of processes with high CPU if xorg is busy. Also Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Please execute the following command, as it will automatically gather debugging
