Title:
  Evolution shuts down with "The program 'evolution' received an X
  Window System error."

Status in “evolution” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: evolution

  Evolution shuts down periodically with the following error in
  terminal. ( Also sometimes locks up the entire XWindows interface)

  (evolution:7599): e-table-CRITICAL **: e_table_header_get_column:
  assertion `eth != NULL' failed

  (evolution:7599): Gdk-CRITICAL **: gdk_draw_line: assertion `GDK_IS_GC
  (gc)' failed

  (evolution:7599): e-table-CRITICAL **: e_table_header_get_column:
  assertion `eth != NULL' failed

  (evolution:7599): Gdk-CRITICAL **: gdk_draw_line: assertion `GDK_IS_GC (gc)'
failed
  The program 'evolution' received an X Window System error.
  This probably reflects a bug in the program.
  The error was 'BadPixmap (invalid Pixmap parameter)'.
    (Details: serial 175501 error_code 4 request_code 56 minor_code 0)
    (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
     that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
     To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
     option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
     backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)

  1) jmckean@Cub:~$ lsb_release -rd
  Description:  Ubuntu 9.04
  Release:      9.04

  2) jmckean@Cub:~$ apt-cache policy evolution
  evolution:
    Installed: 2.26.1-0ubuntu2
    Candidate: 2.26.1-0ubuntu2
    Version table:
   *** 2.26.1-0ubuntu2 0
          500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com jaunty-updates/main Packages

       2.26.1-0ubuntu1 0
          500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com jaunty/main Packages

  3) I expected Evolution to remain running until I quit

  4) Evolution quit unexpectedly. Actually may quit while am away
  from the computer.
