I was an unpatient idiot, and I upgraded from 22.04 to 24.04. Near to
the end of the upgrade, I got an „Oh, no! Something has gone wrong and
the system cannot recover. Call the system administrator” message after
a red FAILED in the terminal. The system
I believe that the evolution mail program and google accounts are to
blame.
The problem went away for me after I deleted my keyring and switched
from evolution to thunderbird.
Trying to (re-)add a mail account to evolution immediately brings the
problem is back.

When you unlock the keyring yourself it still fails to unlock ssh keys.
If you do:
$ export SSH_AUTH_SOCK=$XDG_RUNTIME_DIR/gcr/ssh

Mirror mode doesn't work when panel
I opened a similar bug and @vanvugt advised me to come here.
I read everything and will try the PPA if need be.
But I'm using a driver that nobody mentioned, which was selected by Dell who
assembled the machine and installed the OS.
On Nvidia driver section, I'm using "Set the power ondemand
On second thoughts, 46.1 might not make it into the main release so
let's patch this in for Noble.

problem unlocking in on log-in. I'm therefore adding here GDM3.
