I'm seeing this frequently on both a desktop and a laptop running Kubuntu 13.04 (Alpha 1) with KDE 4.10.00. Thunderbird version is currently 17.0.2. This seems to happen after leaving Thunderbird running in the background for several hours checking mail but not otherwise using the program.
