As to the position where the new slide ist created (if you manage to double-click on the empty space at the bottom), it appears to be below the currently selected slide. This does not happen, if the slides pane is not yet filled and has enough free space at the bottom: then new slides are always

No, you can easily tell where the new slide is created, simply by tying defferent text into the existing slides (suggestion: Type "1" into slide 1, "2" into slide 2, etc.). If you do so, you will find that as soon as the existing slides fill the side bar, the new slide will be created at an
